ABOUT ME

As a native of the Tennessee midstate, I have an innate interest in building and creating communities that work for my clients. Whether it be the location of your favorite gym, church, or your niche bookstore, I care deeply about placing you in neighborhoods that will help you and your family have the life you’ve always dreamed of.

EXPERIENCE

I graduated from Austin Peay with a degree in accounting and business management. After college, I jumped into the mortgage world as a loan assistant and then a loan processor. With over two years of mortgage experience under my belt, I then transitioned to a title company working in wiring and post-closing.

Title and loan issues are the two most important, and often confusing parts of a homebuying experience- especially for first time homebuyers. Having experience and knowledge in both of these fields, I feel that gives you a great advantage having me on your side with my ability to guide you throughout the home buying or selling experience.

Client Reviews

“Drew had my home under contract in one day. From the moment it was listed until the day it closed, he kept me updated and was available for anything I needed and made any issues a priority. He’s a natural.”

“Working with Drew Smith has been such a good experience. He is knowledgeable about the area and he’s patient. He is professional, friendly and doesn’t talk too little or too much. Some agents say nothing or won’t stop talking! He’s a gem!”

Building Community In 2020, An Inch Wide and A Mile Deep

I feel that it’s really important for people in the service industry to build up a brand image of what they want to specialize in with whatever type of service they’re providing. You sell shoes? You need your family, friends, and community to know that you sell the best shoes they can find for the best prices. Starting a restaurant? You want your customer base to be so floored by your quality of food as well as the superior level of service and atmosphere at your restaurant that they can’t help but tell everyone about you. In real estate, my first couple of years have been the opposite of “inch wide, mile deep”. I took any deal that I could find. I live in East Nashville, but someone knew a friend that wants to buy a condo in Spring Hill? Well, I needed the business, so I was on it like white on rice. As I transition and get more dug in to my desire to build a network community around me, I want to be able to be more selective with my work and what kind of clients I take on.

Inch wide, mile deep. It’s pretty self-explanatory if you think about it. In 2020, it’s very easy to have a surface level amount of knowledge about basically anything you could possibly look up. Google search, Twitter, Facebook; they all give limitless knowledge at our fingertips- inch deep, mile wide-type knowledge. What does the opposite look like when it comes to my business? For me, it’s focusing on people that are new to the process and idea of real estate in their 20’s and 30’s being more of a financial decision than a personal choice of living somewhere. If you’re looking for some real number benefits on owning property versus renting, go read my article, “Your First Home Is An Investment” from September. So, as I get in to this year and the years beyond that, it’s my goal to work with the community around me in educating them on the enormous financial benefits of home ownership. When I look back at this this decade in 2029, I want to be able to see the fruits of not only my own labor, but my friends’ hard work that take my advice and put plans to action and build solid wealth for themselves. You don’t have to be stuck in the millennial complex of drowning in debt all the time. Let me help you gain the knowledge you need to make a real financial difference in your life.
